The Living Earth’s (LE) priority has been to manage presentation quality, satellite imagery for use in both consumer and commercial creative markets. A significant part of LE is our extensive archive of digital imagery we have collected over the past 15 years. Our current archive contains a comprehensive collection of Earth imagery from AVHRR (1km & 4km resolutions), Landsat 5 and 7 (30m & 15m) and Night imagery (1km & 4km) from DMSP satellites. Other imagery and textures that compliment our archives: Digital Elevation Model (DEM), Bathymetry (Ocean Floor) and Mapping Information (Digital Chart of the World, World Vector, Geo-political Boundaries and GOES Cloud data).
Each image in our archive has been graphically enhanced to add value to the raw data and represent “true color” for commercial application. Through our on-line web site, www.livingearth.com, we can provide the highest quality of imagery to professionals in advertising and graphic design, animator’s, Internet development, new media publishing, weather visualization and broadcasting. Our terms and conditions allow the end user the flexibility to use the imagery broadly.
It is our goal at LE to continue to offer high-quality images and build an archive that can be easily distributed to all people all over the world. We anticipate that the availability of the imagery will result in a range of customers that extend far beyond our expectations and would appreciate your comments at any time to help us continue our expansion as well as guide us to continue to build our archive of imagery.
